Your brain says ok, this works, and it continues to do this action. You get a reward for the habit. The more you do the action, the more ingrained the habit becomes, and the more you like the reward. Habits are very powerful. But some habits are not good; they can lead to negative outcomes. You must intentionally change the habit to get the result you want or the same reward.
